1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Skatez mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Skatez provides a mobile application that helps users discover skate parks across Australia. The App includes:

• Database of 4,000+ skate park locations
• Location-based search and distance calculations
• Park information (photos, descriptions, coordinates)
• Offline data access
• Navigation integration with Apple Maps

3. Free Service

Skatez is provided free of charge with no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or advertisements. We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future with notice.

4. Use License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You May:

• Use the App to find skate parks
• View and share park information
• Use offline mode

You May Not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Copy, modify, or create derivative works
• Use the App for commercial purposes without permission
• Extract or scrape park data for other applications
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Upload malicious code or interfere with the App's operation

5. User Conduct

You agree to use the App responsibly and legally. You will not:

• Submit false or misleading park information
• Harass, abuse, or harm others
• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Spam or send unsolicited communications

6. Content and Intellectual Property

Our Content

The App, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by Skatez and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Park Data

Skate park information (names, locations, photos, descriptions) is sourced from:

• Public databases and community contributions
• User submissions (when feature is available)
• Third-party sources with appropriate permissions

We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee completeness or correctness.

Photos and Media

Photos and videos displayed in the App are either:

• Submitted by users with permission to share
• Sourced from public domains
• Licensed for use in the App

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of park information
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

IMPORTANT: Skate at your own risk. Always assess park conditions, obey local laws, and wear appropriate safety equipment.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SKATEZ SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Injuries or accidents occurring at skate parks
• Inaccurate or outdated park information
• Closed, damaged, or unsafe parks
• Navigation errors or incorrect directions
• Loss of data or device damage
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability shall not exceed $100 AUD.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Skatez, its developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of others
• Injuries or accidents while using parks found via the App

11. Location Services

The App uses your device's location to show nearby parks. By enabling location services:

• You grant permission for local distance calculations
• You understand location data stays on your device
• You can disable location services anytime in iOS Settings

12. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with:

• Firebase: Data storage and sync (Google's terms apply)
• Apple Maps: Navigation and directions (Apple's terms apply)

We are not responsible for third-party service availability or performance.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of new Terms.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Misuse of the App
• Legal or regulatory requirements

You may stop using the App anytime by uninstalling it.

15. Geographic Limitations

Skatez primarily covers Australian skate parks. Information for other regions may be limited or unavailable.

16. Age Requirements

The App is suitable for all ages. Children under 13 should use the App with parental supervision. Parents are responsible for supervising their children's skating activities.

17. Accuracy of Information

While we strive for accuracy:

• Park information may be outdated or incorrect
• Parks may close temporarily or permanently
• Conditions may change (construction, weather, maintenance)
• Photos may not reflect current state

Always verify park status before visiting.

18. Feedback and Submissions

If you submit feedback, park information, or content to us:

• You grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use it
• You represent that you have rights to submit it
• We are not obligated to use or respond to submissions

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, specifically the state/territory where we operate. Disputes shall be resolved in Australian courts.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

21. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Skatez regarding the App.
